A Carteret County News-Times editorial cited Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington‘s latest cover story on the national security concerns surrounding a new eastern North Carolina wind farm. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted Carrington’s article in their daily press email.

The Greensboro News and Record published Associate Editor Barry Smith‘s article on the potential implications for North Carolina of a recent Texas court case involving occupational licensing. The Kernersville News published Becki Gray’s column offering recommendations for state lawmakers filling in state budget details.

NCPoliticalNews.com promoted Rick Henderson’s CJ editorial touting the benefits of legislative session limits and Associate Editor Dan Way‘s article detailing a new Tax Foundation assessment of North Carolina’s business tax climate. Senate Republicans promoted Way’s tax climate article, Smith’s report on changes to North Carolina’s presidential primary, and John Locke Foundation Chairman John Hood‘s columns on the importance of entrepreneurship and voters’ preferences for 2016 presidential candidates. EducationNC.org started publishing a six-part series from CJ contributor Kristen Blair on homeschooling in North Carolina.

Hood will help explore public trust and confidence in the state’s court system as one of the newly appointed members of state Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Martin’s new N.C. Commission on the Administration of Law and Justice.
