News that the North Carolina Climate Change Commission co-chairs refused Sen. Pittenger’s request to extend an invitation to Dr. John Christy, Professor of Atmospheric Science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, is disheartening. The decision by the commission’s co-chairs only shows how narrow the dialogue on climate change is at the state level. As the climate-alarmist agenda makes headway in the policy arena, let’s just hope that common sense prevails, and that NC doesn’t make a Kyoto-like decision – a mistake succinctly summed up by Daren Bakst in the Charlotte Observer.
