The John Locke Foundation’s report on the benefits of North Carolina’s 2013 tax reform package for taxpayers in all income groups continues to attract attention. Report author Roy Cordato, JLF Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar, will discuss his work this afternoon with Bill LuMaye on WPTF Radio. The Heritage Foundation’s “InsiderOnline” and Americans for Tax Reform promoted Cordato’s report.

The News & Observer quoted Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops in an article about a new charter school opening near a gated community in Harnett County. A Kinston Free Press columnist quoted Stoops while discussing public school students’ disappointing standardized test performance. NCPoliticalNews.com promoted Stoops’ research newsletter urging North Carolina officials to pursue virtual school options. Stoops discussed Common Core public school standards during a presentation this week to the Republican Women’s Club of Chapel Hill. Stoops heads west Saturday to discuss Common Core with the Asheville Tea Party group.

The Beaufort Observer cited Director of Fiscal Policy Studies Sarah Curry‘s newsletter on Gov. Pat McCrory’s 2014 priorities. N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily press email Director of Regulatory Studies Jon Sanders‘ recent column on faulty attendance projections tied to Charlotte’s NASCAR Hall of Fame.
