Stoops’ teacher pay report gets outside attention

Despite complaints to the contrary, North Carolina already awards its public school teachers higher compensation than most other states. John Locke Foundation Education Policy Analyst Terry Stoops highlights this fact in an annual report. This week, an op-ed in The Oklahoman used Stoops’ work to explain that Sooner State teachers also earn more than the national average.
