State Eminent Domain Commission Enlists JLF Staffer’s Advice

After getting word of his Spotlight recommending an amendment to the State Constitution guaranteeing private property rights (reprinted here in the Mountain Xpress), the House Select Committee on Eminent Domain Powers enlisted the opinion of its author, Daren Bakst.  Bakst was the only speaker who advised lawmakers to study amending the state’s constitution, reports Mitch Kokai, who attended the hearings.
