George Leef spent Saturday in Virginia delivering the keynote address to a meeting of the Virginia Association of Scholars. His topic: “The Overselling of Higher Education.” As the workweek began, Lindalyn Kakadelis traveled to Greensboro to interact with educators and policymakers as she hosted an NCEA booth at the North Carolina School Boards Association conference. On Thursday, Chad Adams spoke with a reporter for the UNC-Greensboro student newspaper for a story about the Locke Foundation. That night, Don Carrington addressed the Wake County Taxpayers Association. He updated the group on his work to uncover government waste and abuse, such as the Frank Ballance scandal and the Currituck County ferry service.
