Wilmington-area radio listeners had a chance this week to hear Roy Cordato, John Locke Foundation Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar, urge Republican state lawmakers to jump off the environmentalist bandwagon. Cordato also critiqued the president’s State of the Union Address during his appearance with Chad Adams on WLTT’s morning show. The Warren Record covered Cordato’s recent work as a tax reform panelist in Henderson. Freedom Newspapers interviewed Daren Bakst, Director of Legal and Regulatory Studies, about North Carolina’s gun laws. A letter writer in the Charlotte Observer critiqued comments from Bakst on state efforts to help regulate greenhouse gas emissions. The Charlotte Observer‘s Mooresville News also cited an upcoming speech from Michael Sanera, Director of Research and Local Government Studies, in an article about the Stand Up North Carolina group. The Topix.com website highlighted a blog entry noting comments from Terry Stoops, Director of Education Studies, critiquing comedian Stephen Colbert’s quips about the Wake County school system.
