Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington continued to draw attention to the dubious scheme that created the Randy Parton Theatre in Roanoke Rapids. News & Observer editor John Drescher cited CJ’s work in his weekly column, while the Rocky Mount Telegram sought Carrington’s insight in a related story about the fundraising efforts of a state Transportation Board member. Carrington also briefed the Optimist Club of Raleigh on the latest details.
