The Salisbury Post promoted this week John Hood’s upcoming appearance at the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce annual meeting. Hood will read excerpts from his latest book, Our Best Foot Forward. The Heritage Foundation’s “Insider Online” noted Hood’s recent National Review Online commentary praising the late historian of freedom Rufus Fears.

Becki Gray heads to Winston-Salem Saturday to speak at a “Stand Up For Religious Freedom” rally. Gray will discuss Obamacare’s impact on the state.

The Gaston Gazette interviewed Carolina Journal Managing Editor Rick Henderson for an article about the impact of new disclosure requirements for local transportation planning board members.

WPTF Radio interviewed Mitch Kokai about his most Carolina Journal report, which detailed a recent legislative meeting dealing with issues surrounding performance pay for public school teachers.
