N.C. Education Alliance Director Lindalyn Kakadelis continues her travels across the state, primarily sharing and listening to concerns about new Common Core public education standards. She’s spoken to groups in Onslow and Iredell counties this week, and she heads to Wilkes County Saturday. Kakadelis also spent two days this week discussing education issues with Lockwood Phillips on WTKF’s “Viewpoints Radio.”

Becki Gray traveled to Polk County this week to brief the county’s Republican Party on highlights from this year’s legislative session. She will speak Saturday to the N.C. College Republican Convention. Gray continues to provide public policy and political updates twice each week for listeners of WTSB Radio.

The Greensboro News & Record‘s “Mixing It Up” column quoted “Piedmont Publius” blogger Sam Hieb‘s recent analysis of the Greensboro City Council election results.

John Locke Foundation Director of Communications Mitch Kokai discussed U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan’s latest poll numbers with Demetri Ravanos on WPTF Radio. Kokai analyzed the week’s top state government news for Curtis Wright on WMYT Radio. WECT Television interviewed Kokai for a story about abuse of Medicaid personal care services.

The Daily Tar Heel interviewed Kokai about recent developments in North Carolina’s 2014 U.S. Senate race. The Kernersville News published his recent column on misuse of the budget term “full funding.” Topix.com promoted Kokai’s “Locker Room” blog entry on the history of North Carolina’s gold rush.
