John Locke Foundation experts closed 2009 with several television appearances. President John Hood contributed to News 14 Carolina’s year-end “Political Connections” program, while Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray joined Hood on the year-end edition of N.C. Spin. Topics included the economy, government corruption, and this year’s legislative session. Policy Analyst and Carolina Journal Associate Editor Michael Lowrey discussed a high-paid West Charlotte High School “czar” in an interview with WBTV. JLF communications director Mitch Kokai urged the state to exercise caution in its use of no-bid contracts during an interview with News 14 Carolina. WTVD reported that former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich will serve as featured speaker during next month’s John Locke Foundation 20th anniversary dinner.
