No One Else He’d Rather Hate

While interviewing Dan Rather on his recent job as an investigative reporter for HDNet, stand-in co-host Donna Martinez on WPTF’s (680-AM) morning talk show questioned whether he stood by his controversial, and later discredited, story on President Bush’s military history. His report, based on fraudulent documents, cost him his anchor job for CBS Evening News. Dan got irate on air, echoing former President Bill Clinton in an interview with Chris Wallace, essentially claiming the interview was a political hit job. Local, national, and blogosphere news sources all jumped on Dan’s chronic state of denial.
