John Locke Update / Impact Newsletter

More Than Meets The Eye

The JLF‘s Faculty Affiliate Network recently held an event at Duke University.  You might have read about it in the Raleigh News & Observer without knowing that it was a FAN event. Don’t believe me?  Read the news article, and then watch the video.  Fascinating the similarities.  By day, a mild-mannered policy analyst, by night – or rather, after school hours – a student counselor.  The duel role of a policy wonk is never complete.  Just this week, Daren Bakst releases a Spotlight on mercury regulation, then whisks himself away to UNC School of Law to a Carolina Law and Policy Association event where he advised students on how to find careers that integrate law and policy.
