Aside from the “Ferryboat Scandal,” the state’s Department of Transportation has another headache to worry about.  As Carolina Journal‘s Don Carrington reports
to News 14, news that an audit revealing that DOT employees received
kickbacks from Stone Cold Chemicals, is not a surprise.  In fact,
Don contends “there are probably little pockets around the state where
people can get away with a lot of things.”  His acumen was right
on: both Appalachian State University and the City of Charlotte appear to be just as guilty as the DOT.
