Time Warner Cable News, formerly News 14 Carolina, welcomed JLF President John Hood to the “Capital Tonight” program to discuss topics such as a lawsuit challenging the N.C. General Assembly’s decision to end teacher tenure in public schools. “Capital Tonight” interviewed both Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray and Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops about a new legislative study of Common Core public school standards.
WUNC Radio interviewed Stoops for a story about the impact of university education schools, and he discussed the teacher tenure lawsuit with Lockwood Phillips on WTKF’s “Viewpoints Radio.” Director of Education Outreach Lindalyn Kakadelis made two appearances this week with Phillips on WTKF. Kakadelis and members of a coastal taxpayers group discussed major education issues in the state, including the first meeting of the legislative study group focusing on Common Core.
