JLF Challenges Gas Tax Hike

posted on

On January 1st the price of gas went up in the state, thanks to a
semiannual adjusted rate of 7 percent of the average wholesale price of
gasoline during a set, six-month period.  Some groups are opposing
the increase, some for economic reasons, others on principle.  Both issues
have piqued interest from groups and media sources. Lockwood Phillips
entertained Chad Adams and Joe Coletti on his talk radio show.  Bill LuMaye (NewsTalk 680AM), Brian O’Brian (WZNN-1350 in Asheville), and WWAY TV3 also interviewed Coletti.
