Jim Black’s Legacy

Don Carrington, whose news stories over the years have helped to expose corruption in all levels of government, has closely followed Jim Black’s missteps as Speaker of the House. Following Black’s recent sentencing, Don spoke with Lockwood Phillips, providing oversight to years of corruption that culminating in a few brief words from a federal judge. The legacy Jim Black left behind is one many won’t soon forget. The hope, says John Hood in the Charlotte Observer, is that we don’t let Black supporters gloss over the former speaker’s misdeeds as the missteps of a man with good intentions.
