Health Care’s Antidote: A Little Nip, Tuck

As JLF has said in the past, there are a few things the state can do to ease its health care burdens; namely, nix socialistic Certificate of Need Laws (CON) and counties’ share of the Medicaid burden, while tucking the Health Savings Account (HSA) option into the stockings of state employees. John Hood urged the state to drop CON laws in Forest City’s Daily Courier.  The Tryon Daily Bulletin and the Richmond County Daily Journal picked up Coletti‘s description of counties’ Medicaid malaise.  And most impressive of all, Paul Chesser reports Dana Cope, executive director for the State Employees Association of North Carolina, will most likely pass along the idea of HSA’s to those in charge of the State Health Plan next year.
