The Obama administration’s new Clean Power Plan, designed to force drastic reductions in American carbon dioxide emissions, prompted an hourlong panel discussion this week on WFAE Public Radio’s “Charlotte Talks” program. John Locke Foundation Vice President for Research and Resident Scholar Roy Cordato served as one of the expert panelists and countered false premises and flawed arguments from the political left.

Carolina Journal Managing Editor Rick Henderson analyzed new campaign finance reports during an appearance on Time Warner Cable News’ statewide “Capital Tonight” program. New campaign finance reports, N.C. Health and Human Services Secretary Aldona Wos’ resignation, and the N.C. House’s bond proposal are among the topics Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray analyzes this weekend on the statewide “N.C. Spin” television program. Gray spent two days as guest host this week for Bill LuMaye on Talk Radio WPTF’s afternoon drive program. She continues regular weekly politics and public policy briefings for radio audiences on WWNC and WTSB.

This afternoon Senior Political Analyst Mitch Kokai sits in LuMaye’s chair for a third time this week. Among his guests will be Carolina Journal Associate Editor Kari Travis. She will discuss her recent reporting on Raleigh’s decision to place new limits on outdoor dining options. JLF Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops analyzed recent news related to charter schools during his latest appearance on the Freedom Action Network’s “What Matters with Chad Adams.”
