Dynamite Double Header

On Tuesday, more than 400 people jammed the Brownstone Hotel in Raleigh to hear from nationally known political consultant Dick Morris, while in Charlotte, 65 key Charlotte-area business executives gathered to hear post-election analysis from writer and commentator Michael Barone. Morris’ humorous speech had guests laughing and nodding their heads at his Clinton stories, the differences between George W. Bush and John Kerry, and his belief that National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice would make a powerful 2008 presidential candidate. Wednesday’s” Under the Dome” column in the Raleigh News & Observer spotlighted his comments. In Charlotte, Barone’s more low-key approach, dry wit, and meticulous analysis was well appreciated by Charlotte’s business leaders. The event was one in a series of Charlotte-focused activities for JLF over the next several months. Barone also appeared on WBT’s “Keith Larson Show” while in the city.
