Down to the Wire on Amendment One

Although voters (51 to 49 percent) approved Amendment One, JLF efforts to point out the facts and flaws continued as Election Day approached. Chad Adams spent two hours in Gastonia last week, talking to AM 960 listeners. Then it was on to a speech in Scotland County. On Monday, Don Carrington told the online version of the Fayetteville Observer the amendment blurred the line between public and private responsibility. “It will become almost an entitlement for big projects,” he said.
