Dole vs. Edwards?

John Hood’s recent Daily Journal, in which he speculated about a 2008 governor’s race between Sen. Elizabeth Dole and former Sen. John Edwards, caught the interest of the Raleigh News & Observer. The Dec. 27 “Under the Dome” column featured Hood’s commentary that Edwards needs executive experience before a second presidential run, and that Dole might be interested in the post as a way to end her political career since she lacks sufficient seniority to lead a Senate committee.
