CJ highlights Medicaid audit, Obamacare developments, and more

Senate Republicans promoted this week Carolina Journal Associate Editor Dan Way‘s report on a new state audit criticizing North Carolina’s Medicaid program, Associate Editor Barry Smith‘s article on Obamacare supporters and opponents targeting young adults, and Becki Gray’s column on the importance of this year’s state legislative reforms. The “N.C. Spin” website highlighted Gray’s column.

The Senate GOP also cited in its daily press emails John Locke Foundation President John Hood‘s columns on rising employment in North Carolina and facts surrounding growth in health care costs, Smith’s report on a lawsuit challenging North Carolina’s new opportunity scholarships, a Carolina Journal Radio interview transcript on college student loan defaults, and Don Carrington’s latest story on a trial date in the libel suit filed against N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper. The N.C. Republican Party promoted Carrington’s work in an email about Cooper.

The Greensboro News & Record‘s “Mixing It Up” feature cited Hood’s recent column on Poland‘s economic and educational success. The Laurinburg Exchange published Rick Henderson’s column on the Obamacare blame game and Carolina Journal Radio Co-Host Donna Martinez‘s recent column about consevatives’ role in improving public education.
