CJ attracts attention for work on Cooper libel suit, voting law changes, and more

posted on

A court hearing is scheduled today in a 13-year-old libel suit filed against N.C. Attorney General Roy Cooper. Carolina Journal Executive Editor Don Carrington discussed his reporting on the lawsuit during an appearance with Lockwood Phillips on WTKF’s “Viewpoints Radio.”

The Lumberton Robesonian and Southern Pines Pilot published Carolina Journal Radio Co-Host Donna Martinez‘s CJ column urging conservatives to play a greater role in improving public education. The Mooresville Tribune picked up John Locke Foundation Senior Fellow Marc Rotterman‘s column on promoting public policies that lead to better roads, jobs, and schools.

A letter writer in the Durham Herald-Sun cited CJ Associate Editor Barry Smith‘s reporting on the impact of North Carolina’s new election law. N.C. Senate Republicans’ daily press email cited Smith’s report on Obamacare’s impact for North Carolina congressional staff members, Carrington’s latest report linked to the libel suit against Cooper, Managing Editor Rick Henderson‘s column on liberals’ attempt to shift blame for Obamacare’s rollout problems, and contributor Jesse Saffron‘s article detailing concerns about UNC-Greensboro’s spending on facilities. NCPoliticalNews.com promoted Henderson’s column.
