Carolina Journal attracts attention for work on media bias, teacher pay, and more

posted on

The Durham Herald-Sun and N.C. Spin website published Carolina Journal Publisher Jon Ham‘s recent column on media bias. The Kernersville News picked up Rick Henderson’s column panning the prospect of boosting North Carolina public school teachers’ pay to the national average.

The N.C. Spin website promoted CJ Associate Editor Barry Smith‘s article documenting Gov. Pat McCrory’s concerns about organizational challenges within the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services. NCPoliticalNews.com highlighted Smith’s article on prospective North Carolina charter schools and Associate Editor Dan Way‘s report on a transportation expert’s analysis of the proposed Monroe Connector highway.

N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily press emails Smith’s article on charter schools and contributor Jesse Saffron‘s story about two neighboring University of North Carolina campuses that want to start apparently duplicative master’s degree programs in filmmaking and media production.
