Blog-to-Blog Fun

This week, the Heritage Foundation’s “Insider” weblog picked up several items from JLF’s blog, “The Locker Room.” Paul Chesser’s funny posting about potential classes Sen. Edwards might teach at UNC-Chapel Hill made the “Insider,” including “Primping 101,” “How to Slander Judicial Nominees,” and “How to Win Big Money But Lose Your Own State(s).” The humor was inspired by reports that Chapel Hill’s law school is trying to recruit Edwards. Another witty item by Jon Sanders also attracted Heritage’s attention. This one involved Sanders bemoaning the disappearance of tasty Christmas truffles given to JLF a gift. He invoked the “Tragedy of the Commons” as he described how one person maximized “his or her own happiness at the expense of others’ and the exhaustion of a precious but “free” resource.”
