Bakst to basics

Advocates touting the alleged benefits of taxpayer-financed elections got a wake-up call this week from John Locke Foundation Legal and Regulatory Policy Analyst Daren Bakst. His op-ed in Tuesday’s News & Observer exposed problems associated with taxpayer financing. The Center for Competitive Politics featured a prominent link to Bakst’s op-ed during the week. Speaking of Bakst, the Fayetteville Observer also highlighted this week his work to offer a “blueprint” for annexation reform in North Carolina.
