As lawmakers discuss potential changes to North Carolina’s 50-year-old annexation law, John Locke Foundation Legal and Regulatory Policy Analyst Daren Bakst‘s “blueprint” for annexation reform attracted attention recently in the Tryon Daily Bulletin. In other news, Bakst’s recent op-ed in the News & Observer on taxpayer financing of election campaigns attracted a response this week from a letter writer who supports the taxpayer financing.
