Who: Fred Barnes founded The Weekly Standard with Bill Kristol and John Podhoretz in 1995. He joined Fox News as a political contributor the next year. He co-hosts “The Beltway Boys” with Mort Kondracke and regularly appears on “Special Report with Brit Hume.” The Media Guide gives Barnes four stars – its highest rating – and calls him a “great political reporter-columnist” whose material is “exquisitely timed.”

Barnes’ most recent book – Rebel in Chief: How George W. Bush is Redefining the Conservative Movement and Transforming America – takes a close look at President Bush’s unique style. Barnes shows how the president is shaking up Washington and reshaping the conservative movement.

Barnes joins News Radio 570 WWNC and the John Locke Foundation to share some of those insights.
