Michael I. Krauss
Biography
Michael Krauss has taught at George Madison University’s School of Law since 1987. He was the law school’s first recipient of the university’s “Teacher of the Year” award and has been nominated for a national best teacher award. Professor Krauss earned his B.A. cum laude from Carleton University, his LL.B. summa cum laude from the Université de Sherbrooke, and his LL.M. from Yale Law School. He also served for five years on Quebec’s Human Rights Commission. He is a Salvatori Fellow of the Heritage Foundation and an Academic Fellow of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracy. He has appeared in varied electronic media including CNN, C-Span, Fox News, National Public Radio, National Review Online, Voice of America, Radio-Canada, and West German Radio and has written for a wide array of newspapers, including the Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Baltimore Sun, Washington Times, Montreal Gazette, and Japan Times).
Professor Krauss teaches Torts, Legal Ethics, Products Liability, and Jurisprudence. His (co-authored) Second Edition of Legal Ethics in a Nutshell, was published in 2006.
