Biography

Lauren Acome began her career in education as a high school social studies teacher in North Carolina. In July 2019, Lauren joined North Carolina Virtual Academy as the Head of School. Lauren grew up in Ft. Worth, Texas and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she holds a Masters of Arts in Teaching and a Masters of School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
