Critics of President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court have expressed varying degrees of concern about Kavanaugh’s views and impact on the high court. Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has gone further. She has predicted that Judge Kavanaugh’s appointment will bring the “destruction of the Constitution.” Campbell Law School Professor Greg Wallace will explore Judge Kavanaugh’s views of the Constitution, paying particular attention to what the judge has said about First and Second Amendment rights, as well as his approach to constitutional interpretation.
