In this presentation, Jon and Ed will discuss how ESPN, the NCAA, FIFA, the IOC and other sports governing bodies, media partners and corporate leaders are trying to usurp federalism, competition, and common sense in order to advance progressive policies.

Background on Speakers:
Jon Pritchett and Ed Tiryakian are developing a national following as authors of provocative Op/Ed articles on the intersection of liberty, business, free-markets, economics, sports, culture and public policy. They have written on the subjects of economic bullying by sports organizations, celebrity CEO social activism, sports gambling, the Masters golf tournament and capitalism, and the public financing of sports venues. Ed is a professor of economics and corporate finance at Duke University and teaches one of the most popular business courses on campus about the economics of sports. Jon is Sr. Vice President at the John Locke Foundation and was an executive and investment banker in the sports industry for 28 years.
