Did you know that the juvenile crime rate has dropped for nine straight years in the state of North Carolina and sits at a 40-year low? How has this happened? How can North Carolina build upon this success, and how can citizens get involved? William Lassiter, who serves as the Deputy Commissioner over Juvenile Justice at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety, will address these issues and discuss legislation that will be introduced this year to raise the age of juvenile jurisdiction.
