Food Freedom: Barriers to the Fork

  November 18, 2019, 12:00 PM

The John Locke Foundation, 4800 Six Forks Rd, Suite 220, Raleigh, NC 27609

It is almost time for Thanksgiving, and that means it is time to talk about food! Local agriculture and farm-to-fork restaurants are chic, but some regulations prevent agriculture entrepreneurs from fully engaging in the market. What state and federal regulations are barriers to entry for small farmers? Do North Carolinians even care where their food was grown? Donald Bryson, president and CEO of the Civitas Institute, will provide perspective on small farms, and barriers to food commerce.
